Job Description: The successful candidate will be part of the team responsible for the development of new prototype of RF section of e-BPM for Elettra. He/she will participate in all activities related to the research of new filters, attenuators and amplifiers necessary for the first treatment of the RF signal in order to improve the performances of these devices, following in particular the development of the necessary control electronics for each programmable devices.
 

Qualifications: Master Degree in Physics or Electronics Engineering  or a related discipline is required together with proven experience in e-BPM electronics and related problems. Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics is required, in particular it is essential he/she has deep knowledge of Verilog HDL FPGA Programming language and LabVIEW. Good knowledge of e-BPM problems concerning synchrotron radiation beams as well as FEL pulses is mandatory. Good time management skills and ability to prioritize are expected, together with the ability to interact with staff and facility users at all levels and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Good oral and written communication skills in English are essential. A working knowledge of the Italian language would be desirable.

The search will be opened on May 20, 2015 and will be closed on June 15, 2015 or will continue until a suitable candidate is found. The appointment envisioned is a fixed term contract  of an initial 4 months duration.  The salary will be commensurate with previous experience and qualifications of the candidate.
