Elettra and IAEA sign a new agreement

On June 7th Prof. Alfonso Franciosi met with Mrs. Melissa Denecke, Director Division of Physical and Chemical Sciences of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to sign a new agreement between IAEA and Elettra to regulate access to the XRF beamline and experimental station for advanced X-ray spectrometry and related analytical techniques and applications.
The agreement aims at strengthening the scientific collaboration between the two institutions to enhance capacity building and facilitate the expansion of synchrotron-based research in IAEA Member States. Both IAEA and Elettra intend to promote the use of the XRF beamline and experimental station in materials science, chemistry, environmental and life sciences, and cultural heritage.
