Co-chairmen: Marino Marsi and Richard P. Walker Aim The aim of the workshop is to discuss the present status and prospective development of various Free-Electron Laser approaches to obtain coherent light in the VUV and soft X-ray region, the respective radiation characteristics and potential scientific applications exploiting their unique features. Format The meeting will consist of a number of invited talks and general discussions, open also to the presentation of selected short oral contributions.
