Welcome to the T-ReX Laboratory Group!
T-ReX is a set of facilities born inside the Fermi Project at Elettra under the supervision of Prof. Fulvio Parmigiani.
The members the group are associated with Fermi with Elettra, with the italian National Research Council (CNR) and with the University of Trieste.
Our research is devoted to the study of ultrafast processes in condensed and soft matter and their applications in technology. Our goal is to study transient states and photo-induced phase transitions in superconductors (dynamics of quasi-particles, photon-boson interactions and the interplay between magnetism and superconductivity), magnetic materials (dynamics of the magnetic excitations) and electron correlations in hard- and soft- condensed matter (charge transfer and phonon assisted excitations).

Superconducting phase dynamical spectrum
a Time-energy matrix of reflectivity variations at 10K on the Y-Bi2212 overdoped sample, (TC=86 K) at a pump fluence of 20μJ/cm2.
b Spectral trace at two different time delays. The ΔR/R(ω,t) is integrated in time between 0 and 300fs to obtain the impulsive response and between 3 and 4ps for the quasi-equilibrium one. Each point of the spectral trace is an average of 4 pixels of the ΔR/R(ω,t) matrix
