Joint Research Activities

The objective of the Joint Research Activities (JRAs) within the I3 Project IA-SFS are
- to enhance the effectiveness of the facilities in serving users and in particular transnational users
- to contribute to the development of novel sources in this domain.

JRA1 and JRA4 will prepare new instruments for an important research community in their domain. The products will be fed to the access programs both continuously and in steps on a 3-year scale and enhance their effectiveness.
JRA2 and JRA5 are more projected towards the future. They are likely to impact the access programs and in general the FEL activities towards the end and beyond the 5-year period.
JRA3 is a typical example of continuous impact on other activities. Its products will be immediately available to enhance the access activities at several other facilities.
