CALIPSOplus kick-off meeting

Helmholtz-Zentrum, Dresden-Rossendorf  18-19 May 2017

CALIPSOplus is a EUR 10 million project funded by the European Union through its Horizon 2020 Framework Program.
It includes all synchrotrons and free electron lasers in the vast European area, i.e. from Elettra in Italy to MAXIV in Sweden, ALBA in Spain and SESAME in Jordan.
The project started on 1 May 2017 and lasts for 4 years. The kick-off meeting took place between 18 and 19 May at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) in Dresden (Germany) (see group picture below). Elettra is involved in several work packages, for a total EC contribution of 940 k€, including transnational access, metrology, industry-focused actions, data analysis and user tools. At Elettra, Dr. A. Goldoni is the Facility delegate and Dr. C. Blasetti is co-leader of Networking Activity 1 "User Access and Data Management Tools" together with M. van Daalen (PSI).
