Transition metal oxide epitaxial thin films and multilayers

Abstract
A multichamber UHV system named Modular facility for Oxide Deposition and Analysis (\"MODA\") has been set up in Naples in the last years, aiming to contribute in triggering the national research on functional oxides for electronics. The experimental activity includes a share of in-house research, mostly in the field of film growth and surface science, while another share is devoted, as a \"fabrication facility\", to the growth of specific and carefully designed samples in view of joint experiments with other groups or at large scale facilities. The research is focussed on superconducting cuprates, magnetic manganites and dielectric/n-doped Ti-based oxides. An overview of recent results and promising ongoing activities is presented. (Rif. F.
