More than 50 participants took part in the ELI-Alps Information Day, jointly organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Rome, AREA Science Park, Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste and ELI-Alps on 12th of May, in Trieste. Other 27 participants followed the event via live-streaming.

During the industrial day, representatives from Italian and Slovenian companies got an introduction to ELI-Alps project, its scientific mission and the applied research technologies of the facility, as well as the science park to be built on the area of 75 acres.

ELI-Alps is a unique European research centre, which is focussed upon making the shortest, most intense laser pulses at the highest repeat rate. The combination of ground-breaking light sources and subsequent outstanding secondary sources, will be available for fundamental, applied and private research. This places ELI-Alps as one of the leading lights in ultrafast physical processes as well as a world-class centre for generating outstanding biological, chemical, medical and material science results.

During the afternoon, 17 personal B2B meetings took place, where the participants had the opportunity to discuss potential future partnerships with the representatives of ELI-Alps.
