The research activity of the Laboratory is measured in proposals and in (8 hrs) time shifts, allocated to each proposal over the available time of the sources operating on a 24 hrs daily basis.
The number of shifts required to fulfil each proposal varies from few shifts to over a week, depending on the measuring technique and on the type of material.
