Pumping and pressure reading

Ion pumps

3 ion pumps of the front-end are controlled from the front-end rack which is not accessible for users.

9 ion pumps of the beamline are controlled from 7 IPS-04 power supplies in the two beamline racks (two of the power supllies have double outputs).

The ion currents can be read in Beamline Control System (BCS) and monitored by Pressure Watcher.


Getter pump of the monochromator

It is to be activated only after the bake-out of the monochromator.

The controller is in the monochromator rack.

Cold-cathode gauges

3 front-end gauges are controlled from the front-end rack which is not accessible for users.

5 beamline cold-cathode gauges are controlled by MaxiGauge controller in the left beamline rack, sensors 1-5.
