INSTALLING LEEM2000 and UView2002

UView2002 and LEEM2002 are the programs that control the PCO sensicam and the LEEM, written by Uew Knipping for Elmitec. Both microscopes at the beamline have a license for their use.

In order to install UView2002 and LEEM2000 you need to:

  1. Pick the installation CD (stored into UView/LEEM2000 instruction manual), and install the two programs following the instructions provided. In order to have LEEM2000.exe and the CCD board working please put into the WINDOWS/System32 the dlls (msvcp60d.dll and msvcrtd.dll) which can be found on private on Sincro-share.

  2. Updated backup copies of LEEM 2000 and Uview can be found also on "sincro-share/private/nanospectroscopy/", complete with all LEEM startup and "APR" configuration files.

  3. Alternatively, go to the Elmitec website downloads, ant get the last upgrade (passwords for download che be found in the instruction manual). Copy the Uwiew update in "../Program files/UView2002" and LEEM update in "../Program files/LEEM2000".

  4. Any new installation (i.e. on a different computer) needs an unlock code, which has to be required to Uwe Knipping at Elmitec (call 89064 or contact him by e-mail).

  5. Notice that LEEM 2000 needs the trackball, which has to be connected on a COM port. In order to configure LEEM2000 and assign the correct com ports to the fiedbus adapter and the trackball, click the "configuration" menus item.
