USING UMEASURE

That's how UMeasure looks like!

There are four internal frames that open automatically when the program starts. They can be also recalled from the controls and option menus

  1. The Microscope controls window allows you to select the microscope operation mode and field of view, as well as to set the energy and the objective focus.
  2. The Uview controls window allows you to control the CCD grabber, i.e. set exposure and number of samples. Press the "acquire" button to grab an image, "preview on" to switch the grabber to live mode.
  3. The beamline controls allows you to control monochromator (select grating, set energy and open/close exit slit), undulator gap and phase, open/close valves and align the refocussing section.
  4. The log window , which keeps a record of all actions. It is an effective electronic aid to your logbook.
You do not need to worry about learing "Uview2002" and LEEM2000, as it is not needed, everything that matters can be done using UMeasure. Basically Uview is remotely controlled to acquire, show and save images, as well as to perform basic image operations.
