DATA FORMAT
Before processing the data with the image anaysis software it is useful to understand the data format and its structure. Please read carefully the information provided here.

DATA ANALYSIS
You can process the data from the Nanospectroscopy Beamline using a set of dedicated routines developed for two different data analysis packages; Igor Pro and IDL
|
Igor Pro
The SIS (SPELEEM Image Suite) is a collection of image analysis macros developed for use with Igor Pro. It allows to do the basic treatment of the images taken with UMeasure, our data acquisition program: spectral analysis, region of interest analysis, particle analysis, micro-XPS analysis, XMCD data processing, etc. The macro collection is intended as package that will be progressively expanded to include a very large set of analysis procedures developed during in-house as well as users dedicated experiments. The SIS requires IGOR 6 to be installed on your computer (that means you must own a license).
Installation instructions
Download the SIS zip file into C:\igormacro\SIS; extract the zip in the same folder.

SIS_2011_04_06.zip;
| Version |
| SIS_core.ipf | 2011/04/06; several bug fixes including image save; added duplicate datafolder; savegraphics and itx |
| SIS_DoniachSunjic.ipf | 2010/12/06; fit functions now include Gaussian, Lorentzian and Sigmoid; fit can be done between cursors; Gamma lor width has been corrected. |
| SIS_DriftCorrection.ipf | 2011/02/08; | improved AB drift, with linear and sqrt correction
| SIS_FFT.ipf | 2011/02/08; | calculates frequency and angle
| SIS_Profiles&ROI.ipf | 2011/02/08; LEED IV macro completed and corrected, saves LEED/IV data interactively |
| SIS_XMCD.ipf | 2011/04/06; added procedure to process XMCD movies removing background |
Previous versions
Using SIS
In order to use SIS, open the file "SIS_Core.ipf" with the menu File/OpenFile/Procedure and then compile it.
Other procedures
load_WKF.ipf, package for processing work function measurements.

The old versions of the former Igor based analysis tools are not supported any longer. For further information please contact: andrea.locatelli@elettra.trieste.it

IDL
The SPECTRE package is a collection of procedures for image analysis written in IDL. SPECTRE uses the
IDL Virtual Machine software, which is free of charge. The package documentation and downloads can be found here
