 SPELEEM DATA ANALYSIS

DATA FORMAT

Before processing the data with the image anaysis software it is useful to understand the data format and its structure. Please read carefully the information provided here.

DATA ANALYSIS

You can process the data from the Nanospectroscopy Beamline using a set of dedicated routines developed for two different data analysis packages; IGOR PRO and IDL

IGOR PRO

The SPELEEM macro is a collection of image analysis functions developed for use with IGOR PRO. It allows to do the basic treatment of the SPELEEM data: spectral analysis, region of interest analysis, particle analysis, micro-XPS analysis, XMCD data processing, etc. The macro is intended as template, i.e. something that you can modify to write your own data analysis procedure set. It requires IGOR 4.08 or later to be installed on your computer (that means you must own a license).

Download the igor procedure file:
version 2005/07/06, tested on Igor4
(loads GUI data);
version 2009/08/10, tested on Igor5 and Igor 6
(loads Umeasure data).
load_WKF.ipf, package for processing work function measurements.

An optimised version of the macro will be released in early 2008.

IDL

The SPECTRE package is a collection of procedures for image analysis written in IDL. SPECTRE uses the IDL Virtual Machine software, which is free of charge. The package documentation and downloads can be found here
