The laboratory, called Small Lab (SL), has been revamped thanks to a collaboration between some Elettra research groups to provide to researchers a suitable and safe place where perform chemical experiments and analytical procedures. The laboratory is equipped with two chemical fume hoods, analytical instrumentation, a rotary evaporator and common laboratory glassware. The access to the lab is allowed to the components of the founding research groups, i.e.:
Other Elettra research groups could be authorized to access to the laboratory after request to the beamlines coordinator and upon agreement with the laboratory responsible. Beamlines users are not allowed to access to the laboratory. For their needs they have to contact the Beamlines Support Chemical Laboratory.
ACCESS TO THE SMALL LAB IS ALLOWED TO AUTHORISED PERSONNEL ONLY.
Laboratory Users Policy
Working in a chemical laboratory needs proper training and attention to safety. Researchers allowed to enter the laboratory must follow the Chemical Laboratory Safety Guidelines and consider the effects of their operations/conduct not only on their research, but also on other facility users.
