In 1991 the European Synchrotron Radiation Society published a World Compendium of Synchrotron Radiation Facilities (I.H. Munro, C.A. Boardman and J.C. Fuggle, ISBN 90 9004273 3). In 1996 the Round Table on Synchrotron Radiation Facilities (EU Concerted Action Contract FMAC-CT94-0002) and the European Synchrotron Radiation Society requested an update of the compendium for general use by SR users and policy makers. The aim is to include all SR facilities of all types worldwide, both present and planned.
If you find anything that is not complete, missing or just plain wrong please let us know. We hope that each facility will help maintain their data. We shall issue periodic calls for up-dates also.
