Who Is Who

The co-ordinator of Round Table is Prof. Giorgio Margaritondo.

The Secretary of the Round Table is Prof. Giovanni Comelli of Elettra. The coordinator and the secretary are assisted by Dr. Michela Bassanese , who is in charge of the Elettra Users Office and also of European contract management at the Sincrotrone Trieste.

Dr. Andy Hopkirk and Dr. Manolis Pantos of the SRS at Daresbury are in charge of the facilities and users databases.

The Round Table meetings are held annualy, unless additional meetings are requested by at least two of the members.The meetings are held each time at a different facility among those participating in the Round Table.

The meetings are dedicated to:

• Presentation of the IHP activities by the IHP program manager, Dr. Elena Righi-Steele.
  
• Presentation by each participant facility of activities within the Access to Large-Scale program.
  
• Debate of general issues concerning the Access to Large-Scale Facilities program;
  
• Presentation and discussion of specific items for additional concerted actions, such as workshops, either within or outside the funding provided under this proposal.
  
• Presentation and discussion of general strategic issues concerning synchrotron light sources and FELs, with specific emphasis on international coordination and cooperation beyond the European Commission Boundaries;
  
• Other issues relevant to the scope of the Round Table.
