rules for publishing on elettra news

In order to facilitate the editorial procedure,
send your article by e-mail and formatted like described below to the editorial
board. You can use any mail agent supporting
attachments. We will confirm the receipt and inform you about the pubblication
date.

Prepare your article according to the following
scheme and using the following formats:
(title of your contribution) (e.g. ABSORPTION SPECTRA )
(authors) (e.g. Name1 Surname1, Name2 Surname2, ...)
(contact person) (e.g. Name Surname: e-mail address)
(empty line)
(the content of your contribution)

The figure captions have to be included in the
main text where you want to insert the figure itself. Use the following
syntax:
(your text before the figure)
(empty line)
Fig.<number>: (your figure caption) (e.g. Fig.2: Absorption spectra)
(empty line)
(your text after the figure)

Save the text content of your article as "text
only with line breaks"
Common word processor include this possibility in their "Save as" options.
The file name should be simple and consist of maximal 8 letters (e.g. filename.txt).

Figures have to be in GIF or JPEG standard format
Name the image files progressively using the name of the text file
(filename) in the following way: figure 1 should be saved as filename-f1.gif
in the case of GIF format; figure 2 should be saved as filename-f2.jpg
in the case of JPEG format.

In the body of the e-mail write the name of the
text file and any further comments.

Attach the text file and the image files.

Movies in Quicktime Movie format can be treated
as figures (see above).
Name the movie files progressively using the name of the textfile,
e. g. filename-m1.mov for the first
movie.
