CALIPSOplus Final Meeting

CALIPSOplus

CALIPSOplus

The European project CALIPSOplus, funded by the Horizon 2020 programme since May 2017, is coming to an end. The Final Meeting, in hybrid format, was hosted at the Coordinator’s premises in HZDR, Dresden from the 13th to the 15th of October 2021.

The Elettra colleagues have been involved in Networking Activity n.1 (User tools for access and data management, M.Bassanese, C. Blasetti), NA3 (European Light Sources for Industrial Innovation, C. Modolo and M. Peloi), NA4 (Sustainability, C. Blasetti), Transnational Access - supporting hundreds of Elettra and FERMI users over the four and a half years of the project, JRA1 (Metrology On One-Nanometer-Precise Optics, L. Raimondi and M. Zangrando) and JRA2 (Demonstrator of a Photon Science Analysis Service, G. Kourousias and R. Pugliese).

The establishment of the European Synchrotron and FEL User Organisation (ESUO) as an independent legal organisation and the sustainability plan for the Wayforlight portal collaboration  are among the most significant outcomes.

The project’s impacts will extend well after the end of the project, many of them being exploited within the LEAPS initiative  and in running projects such as ExPaNds, PANOSC and LEAPS-INNOV.
