Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste partecipates in ESOF 2018 Toulouse with an installation entitled IDEA (Interactive Display of Electron and Atoms), an interactive sonification of scientific data, based on the "materialsoundmusicproject by computational materials physicist and composer Marco Buongiorno Nardelli, Distinguished Research Professor at the University of North Texas and Djerassi 2017 resident artist.

IDEA, designed by architect Giovanni Panizon, is exhibited in Toulouse in Place du Capitol within the “The Olympic games of neutrons and photons” of the ERF AISBL - Association of European-level Research infrastructure Facilities.
