Nanoenergetics and Fonda-Fasella Award

(Trieste, 15-16 novembre 2011)

The second satellite workshop organized by Sincrotrone Trieste,  which took place immediately after ν-FAMC, dealt with nanoscience and nanotechnology, particularly with regards to their application in the energy field. The event opened with the awards ceremony for the Fonda-Fasella prize for young researchers who obtained important results while working at the Elettra Laboratory.
This year’s winner is Dr. Elisa Miniussi, of the Department of Physics of the University of Trieste, for her paper "A link between corrugation and thermal stability of epitaxial graphene".
The paper was published in Physical Review Letters 106, 216101 (2011).
