(ph. Massimo Goina)

The annual Fonda-Fasella award ceremony was held at the presence of the prof. Luciano Fonda's children on December 4, 2018, between the two satellate workshops of the XXVI Elettra Users' Meeting. The Fonda-Fasella prize is awarded to a young researcher who has obtained important results while working at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste.

This year the winner was Dr. David Gauthier (LIDYL, CEA, CNRS, Université Paris-Saclay), who presented the paper "Orbital angular momentum from extreme-ultraviolet light sources". This work was carried out during his previous positions at Elettra SIncrotrone Trieste with the FERMI team and at the University of Nova Gorica with the LKO team. pdf
