The new Prefect of Trieste Annunziato Vardè at Elettra

 

On Tuesday the 8th of February 2022, the new Prefect of Trieste and Government Commissioner for the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region Annunziato Vardè  visited  Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste.

After a brief introductory presentation of the history and excellence of the Center, the President and CEO Alfonso Franciosi guided him on an in-depth visit through the FERMI experimental room and some Elettra beamlines with the collaboration of Claudio Masciovecchio, Annie Heroux and Alessandra Gianoncelli.

The visit ended in the experimental room of Elettra. The Prefect noted how the quality and excellence of Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste are a strategic asset for Italian research and also for Italy itself, and congratulated the President Franciosi, wishing good work and the best future wishes also in relation to the Elettra 2.0 project.
