Ronchi dei Legionari (Trieste) international airport

1 . From the airport to city center:
 

Coach number 51 (APT Gorizia, website only in italian), bus stop: Trieste Autostazione (in front of the railway station).
Tickets can be purcahsed at the airport:

• at the tourist information counter - Infopoint Turismo FVG
• from the 24-hour automatic ticket machine

Ticket fare: €3.30 (one way)
Ride takes 50 min to 1 hour, depending on traffic.
 

2. From city center to Elettra/Fermi or Basovizza:
 

There are regular city service buses that travel from the central railway station to Elettra laboratory which is located about 10 km from Trieste centre.
From Trieste Autostazione get accross the square and take BUS N. 51 (Trieste Trasporti) in front of the "Unicredit" bank. Bus stop is near the traffic light (point B in the map). Also, bus N. 39 has some rides that arrive to ST (check timetables), otherwise the nearest stop is in Basovizza, 1.5 km from ST.

Ticket fare: €1.10 (one way). Can be bought in the "Tabacchi" or at the automatic ticket machine in the main square, in front of the train station main entrance.
Ride takes 20 to 25 min approximately.

Please note: Both buses (from the airport to Trieste and from Trieste to Basovizza) are number 51 but they belong to different companies!
 

Taxi: Stop located outside the passengers terminal. Available from 8 am to 12 pm.

Ride takes 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic.

Science Bus: From the airport to Trieste downtown or Basovizza (Sincrotrone, downtown). Service must be booked at least 48 hs before your arrival/departure.

Regular fare: € 20-27 approximately (check the website for exact fares)
Special discount for Sincrotrone's users: please contact the users' office for a voucher.
Ride takes 30 to 50 minutes, depending on other passengers pick up and traffic.
