SR and FEL projects based on the accelerator-recuperator developed at the
Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics

ABSTRACT
The new concept of the fourth generation SR source based on the
accelerator-recuperator called MARS, proposed in 1997 (G.N. Kulipanov,
N.A. Vinokurov and A.N. Skrinsky, SRI-97) will be discussed. The status
of the project "MARS-S" - a powerful FEL (100 kW) for infrared radiation
( 2 - 50 micron), constructed for the Siberian Center of Photochemistry
will also be described.
