Abstract
NAPXPS became more and more popular within the last years. Especially the number of applications at synchrotron radiation facilities has increased significantly. The FHI is operating an NAPXPS endstation at the synchrotron radiation facility BESSY since 2002. In this presentation I will report on recent results obtained in the field of in situ XPS studies of the growth of carbon nanotubes and graphene on different metals. In addition to that I will talk about first experiments in electrochemical water spitting investigated by NAPXPS.
