SwissFEL Lasing and Commissioning

Abstract
The commissioning of the SwissFEL facility has been started in summer 2016. The inauguration was in December 2016 with an initial lasing at 24 nm. In the next 12 month the resonant wavelength has been stepwise reduced down to 0.54 nm, which allowed to conduct the very first user experiments at the hard X-ray FEL beamline Aramis. This presentation gives an overview of the last 18 month of commissioning and lasing as well as an outlook for the upcomming years.
