The young person’s guide to multiparameter metrology

Marco Barbieri
Università Roma Tre

Abstract
Quantum metrology, the enhanced capability of quantum resources to probe materials and processes, is often cast as the problem of extracting information on a single parameter, such as a phase. However, there might be cases where it is unavoidable to consider a set of multiple parameters at once, for instance in producing a phase image or when noise needs being considered. We will discuss experimental and theoretical results in the investigation of multiple parameters by quantum light.
