FERMI Call For Proposals

Proposals deadline: October 10th, 2018
This is the eighth Call for users’ experiments at the FERMI facility at Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste.
The next deadline has been postponed to October 10th, 2018.
In particular, concerning the photon beam parameters please kindly check the table and the information as reported on the FERMI web page and the VUO portal for proposals submission.

Available laser laboratories


Proposals that require 3 to 6 shifts with FEL standard parameters (see below) will be given priority to be scheduled.
Standard FEL Parameters proposals features:
1)    Rep Rate will be 50 Hz up to 250 eV photon energy and 10 Hz above
2)    FEL will be always producing a single color. 
3)    Wavelength/energy per pulse in the nominal range. 
4)    User Laser Energy E and time duration Δt per pulse: @795 nm (E=1500 μJ Δt=70 fs), @397 nm (E=400μJ Δt=90 fs), @265 nm (E=50μJ Δt=120 fs)
For these proposals no additional user’s equipment will be installed on the end-stations.
